3I/ATLAS and the Blue and Red Kachina Prophecy: Billy Carson's Reading

In this live stream, Billy Carson argues that the Hopi Blue Kachina and Red Kachina prophecy describes a two-stage turning point for humanity: a sign that reveals hidden truth and offers a choice, followed by a purification that reflects the choices made. He reads the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, which he says glowed red and then blue as it rounded the Sun, as a possible sign in the heavens of that kind, while stressing that the outcome is up to humanity.

The episode joins three of Carson's long-running themes: Indigenous prophecy as preserved memory of earlier world cycles, the interconnectedness of consciousness, and the debate over interstellar visitors that began with 'Oumuamua. Several of his claims are contested, and this article notes where astronomers and Hopi commentators differ.

What the video covers

A personal route to the Hopi (from about 4:05)

Carson names the three prophecies he will discuss: the invisible web, the Blue Kachina and the Red Kachina. He explains why he prefers the term Indigenous peoples of the Americas, and says his father had Native American heritage that he traced fully only later.

The invisible web (from about 15:20)

In 1992, while reading about Indigenous nations, Carson came across a Hopi prophecy that a spider web would be cast over the Earth, connecting all peoples through invisible threads so they could share thoughts, images and knowledge instantly across great distances, and that humanity would live in two worlds at once, natural and artificial. He reads this as the internet and the cloud, at a time when most households had no computer. He recalls saying under his breath, "if I lived to see this web exist, the whole world would hear my voice."

His explanation is inherited memory rather than sudden revelation. "We're calling it a prophecy, but it's really a remembrance of what already happened in the past," he says, tying it to the Hopi account of four worlds with a fifth now beginning, which he links to the Age of Aquarius.

Spider Woman and the planetary nervous system (from about 22:00)

Carson turns to Spider Woman, the weaver of Hopi cosmology, who in the material he reads weaves timelines, worlds and consciousness. He links her web to his teaching on the quantum field and reads a commentary describing humanity as co-creating reality through a shared fate. The digital web, he argues, now works like a planetary nervous system that splits attention and cuts people off from nature, making the ethical use of AI, data and power humanity's final test.

Living to see it (from about 26:30)

In 1997, while running a media company selling TV commercials and classified ads, Carson saw a silent commercial during an NBA broadcast showing only IBM.com on a black screen. A bookstore clerk pointed him to the World Wide Web section, and he says he got chills realising the prophecy had arrived. He taught himself web programming, and he presents 3I/ATLAS as a second turning point of the same kind.

The Blue Kachina (from about 30:10)

Carson introduces the Blue Kachina as both a spiritual messenger and an astronomical sign marking the last stage of the fourth world, when systems built on imbalance reach the end of their time. He ties the colour to 3I/ATLAS, which he says burned bright blue near the Sun without breaking apart and, in his description, fired thrusters front and rear as it navigated. The text he reads presents the Blue Kachina as an unveiling of concealed truths and a moral reckoning in which societies face the consequences of their choices, which he connects to the Kemetic, later Hermetic, principle of cause and effect.

Purification and the Red Kachina (from about 36:45)

Purification, in Carson's reading, is the Earth's own correction rather than punishment from outside. He describes the planet as a conscious being that could draw on comets, asteroids or a coronal mass ejection to cleanse itself. The alternative is balance and passage into the fifth world.

The Red Kachina, he says, matches the object's earlier red glow, so both brothers appear in one object. It represents cleansing through fire, the burning away of old structures, false beliefs and corrupt systems. He sets the pair out as contrasts: the Blue reveals truth and the Red enforces correction; the Blue is warning and awakening, the Red consequence and renewal; the Blue is the opportunity for choice, the Red the result of choices made. He ties that last pairing to his formula that conscious thought multiplied by action produces manifestation.

Oral tradition and protected knowledge (from about 46:30)

Carson stresses that Hopi prophecy lives mainly in oral tradition and that elders share only portions. He says he recently sat with a Hopi elder in Scottsdale, Arizona, and was shown material he will not describe and defends that discretion. He closes with a commentary he reads on air, which says the world does not end when the sky falls but "ends when the human heart forgets the earth."

A second comet and a butterfly on the Sun (from about 51:30)

Carson brings in a second comet, C/2025 R2 (SWAN), which he says shows the same thrusters and has positioned itself with 3I/ATLAS in a pincer manoeuvre around Earth. Both, he argues, arrived on the ecliptic, too precisely for a random rock. He then points to a butterfly-shaped coronal hole recorded by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory in mid-September 2025 and attributes it to the object's pass around the Sun. A butterfly, he notes, signifies transformation.

A harbinger, possibly alive (from about 56:20)

He lists the Hopi signs of the end of the fourth world as he presents them: moral failure, ecological imbalance, spiritual disconnection and the belief that technology can replace wisdom. From about 1:05:50 he gives his own view: he does not think 3I/ATLAS is a natural comet, nor necessarily alien in the sense of beings like us, but possibly a form of space life that has visited for thousands of years. "It's just my hypothesis. It doesn't mean it's true," he adds. His closing image is the caterpillar that either becomes a butterfly or dies in the cocoon. "The choice is absolutely ours."

Key takeaways

Billy Carson's reading

Carson's position rests on a track-record argument. Because the web prophecy, as he encountered it, described an invisible global network before most people had heard of the internet, he extends credibility to the wider Hopi teaching on successive worlds. He reads that teaching through his broader lens: ancient knowledge as memory inherited from earlier civilisations, and reality as an interconnected field that consciousness helps shape, the model set out in the fractal holographic universe.

On 3I/ATLAS, he builds on his response to NASA's 3I/ATLAS briefing, where he questioned the comet explanation. Here he goes further and suggests the object may be alive, but labels this a hypothesis and repeats his instruction to research his claims rather than believe them, the approach behind what forbidden knowledge means.

What mainstream scholarship says

On the prophecy, scholars and Hopi commentators urge caution. The Blue Star Kachina, Saquasohuh, appears in Frank Waters' Book of the Hopi (1963), a work whose reliability Hopi critics have questioned, and much of the Blue and Red Kachina material circulating online traces to a 1990s text attributed to an unnamed Hopi elder whose authenticity Hopi commentators dispute. The spider web line has no verified traditional source; earlier readers took it to mean telephone and power lines. Many Hopi also object to outsiders presenting ceremonial knowledge as public prophecy, a concern that echoes the discretion Carson describes.

On the astronomy, NASA classifies 3I/ATLAS, discovered on 1 July 2025 by the ATLAS survey in Chile, as a comet, the third known interstellar object after 'Oumuamua and 2I/Borisov. Its small non-gravitational acceleration is explained by outgassing as ices vaporise near the Sun, and colour shifts in comets reflect the changing balance of dust and glowing gas. Its path does lie within a few degrees of the planets' orbital plane, though moving in the opposite direction, which astronomers treat as coincidence rather than navigation. C/2025 R2 (SWAN) is catalogued as an ordinary comet bound to the Sun, and in mid-September 2025 3I/ATLAS was still hundreds of millions of kilometres from the Sun, so solar physicists see no link to the coronal hole.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Blue Kachina prophecy?

The Blue Kachina, or Blue Star Kachina, is described in widely circulated accounts of Hopi prophecy as a sign marking the end of the fourth world and the move into a fifth. In Billy Carson's reading it is a messenger that reveals hidden truths and opens a period of moral reckoning. Hopi commentators dispute how far the online versions reflect their tradition.

What is the difference between the Blue Kachina and the Red Kachina?

In the framework Carson presents, the Blue Kachina is the warning and the opportunity for choice, while the Red Kachina is the consequence, a purification that burns away what cannot last. He describes the Blue as a spiritual signal and the Red as physical correction carried out by the Earth itself.

Does Billy Carson think 3I/ATLAS is the Blue Kachina?

Carson suggests 3I/ATLAS could be the kind of sign the prophecy describes, pointing to the red and blue colours he says it showed. He also offers a personal hypothesis that it may be a life form, and says plainly this may not be true. NASA classifies it as an interstellar comet.

What is the Hopi spider web prophecy?

It is a widely shared prophecy that a web would be cast over the Earth, connecting people through invisible threads across great distances. Carson read it in 1992 and sees it as a prediction of the internet. Earlier readers interpreted the line as telephone and power lines, and no verified traditional source has been published.
